GREAT PHP ONLINE TUTORIALS!!!!

There are so many very good open source PHP applications out there it is mind boggling! The open source CMS of my choice has been narrowed down to MODx!

After developing in ColdFusion for 11 years, I find the need to start learning PHP because of great applications like MODx, SugarCRM, etc. PHP, so far, especially with the help from this forum, is becoming very easy to pick up on.

What are some of the good online PHP tutorial sites for beginners / intermediate that have very good:

• EXAMPLE CODE for all / most of the PHP functions?
• RESULTING OUTPUT for all / most of the PHP functions?

...Please note that I have already been to the php.net site and they do not have example code / output for most of the functions.

Pay especial attention to the user comments at the bottom of most of the entries.

Many of these sites have advanced articles and tutorials, but a lot of beginner tutorials as well. The way I learn is to skim through these, pick a tutorial that interests me (like this one), and work through it at least twice, or until I understand (mostly) what is going on.

If this was the only link you sent, I would have been very satisfied. I am still going through the site with all of the examples. Once I am done, I will go through the rest of the links.

You have just eliminated time out of the equation for me ramping up on PHP. The syntax is similar to that of ColdFusion / JavaScript scripting so it is very easy to catch on to. Again, thanks!
