Does anyone know how to get sIRF to recognize Spanish characters, i.e. characters with accent marks? I have sIRF working by it just omits any characters beyond #127 even though they are included in the font.

You mean sIFR (Flash replacement of text). You need to specifically include the extra characters that you want when you create your font .swf file. By default the Flash font-generation file only adds standard latin characters and limited punctuation in the .swf, not every character in the font.
