I’m desperately trying to disable mod_rewrite for a password protected folder children that has information that must be administered outside of MODx.

    I have tried the following:

First, I added my folder to the list of directories to be excluded in .htaccess in the root folder:
    RewriteRule ^(children|manager|assets) - [L]

plus I added the following line to the .htaccess file in the target directory:
    RewriteEngine off

Next, I tried adding the following code in the .htaccess file in the root folder:
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/children(.*)$

plus I added the following line to the .htaccess file in the target directory:
    RewriteBase /children/

Neither of these worked. I cannot seem to disable mod_rewrite unless I remove authentication which is not an option.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

PS. I just LOVE MODx! It’s the greatest thing since the iPhone and the micro computer!
