I love Modx. Using it is pretty easy especially when compared to others. Porting your site to modx is also pretty easy and if not, there is an abundance of help here.
I was having a problem choosing a template for my site.And I needed a premade template..As many as there are i was not in love with any of them. I guess I wanted my own unique template/theme and CSS is the way to go right, so off I went in search of a tutorial. If I spent as much time learning as I do looking I would be an expert on a lot of things--WoW-there are many good ones for free, but somehow I just prefer videos and they are not usually free. I learn better when I see it actually done. I think I am not alone...
I found this video tutorial and thought I would share it here. It is extremely well done and easy to follow. Hilco [the teacher has a very nice way of instructing] I imagine a lot of work went into it. There is a basic one [How to master css]Not really that basic throughtout-- and then one just on layouts [CSS Essentials]--which is why I bought it, the layout part is awesome and the included templates are very nice too--you can use them for whatever you want..they are shown on the site..in the video he goes step by step on how he created them---piece by piece--box by box.
The reason I make this post now is because it is currently 1/2 price=$39.50US till the end of the year. I think it is cheap. there is a hugh amount of info and the lessons can be downloaded or viewed online from your account page--I suggest the latter-- Of course there is a money back guarantee if you don’t like it--you will though...

I hope this is OK to put here. I am not pushing anything and I make no money at all from it.,and I don,t know Hilco. It is just that it is on sale now and if you are in the same boat as me it is a worthwhile investment. There is a very nice real time css editor included..
I hope this can stay--at least not be deleted. I thought it belonged in the templates forum for obvious reasons..There are some free videos available to view. I am pretty tight, and I bought them. I think it is one of the best investments I ever made--considering the cost to benefit---it may be the best..seriously...
This is just a heads up [that is all] on a good video tutorial. It can’t hurt to look at the free ones...
