    Hello everyone,

    I was checking my page that I’m working on in IE7 and Firefox and they don’t look the same.. Notice how FIrefox does not make the content background as long as the screensize - but IE7 does. I like how FF shows it, but still need to correct for displaying correct in IE7. But HOW?

    (See screenshot)

    It’s probably somewhere in the CSS, but I simply cannot find it. Anyone? Please? wink

    I’m using the ModxHost templ.

    Thanks,
    Soren

      hi

      without your xhtml and css code I cant say much so, if you post your code (both of them) here maybe I could help, or if your site is on a live server just post a link to it....

      regards

      p.s- oh and by the way, things never look the same across all browser types, the trick is to make them be as similar
      as possible

        Thanks, Plavet.

        I’m using the MODxHost template, and I did not change the code, so both CSS and XHTML code is as per the original in that template.

        Thanks,
        Soren

              I know... It’s strange! It looks perfect in Firefox, but in IE7 it insists on stretching the background all the way to the screen bottom.

                Resolved!

                I looked ONE more time with fresh eyes... It’s the "outer tag" in layout.css

                [tt]#outer{
                height:99.9%;
                min-height:100%;
                width:778px;
                text-align:left;
                margin:auto;
                position:relative;
                overflow:visible;
                background: url(images/inner_776x1.jpg) repeat-y left top;[/tt]

                Just remove min-height:100%; and it works smiley

                Cheers,
                Soren
