composed horizontal dropdown menu problem

well,it does seem to work. However the left side column now is pushed  to the right, hmmm.
Menu´s fine, needs some tuning and stuff, thanks a lot.

Still some errors on the page in that new validator,

Well you are now going to find that there are several ways to skin a cat in CSS.

Try adding a height:1%; to the .menu class in you css. It works in Firefox. Most browsers won’t collapse the div on top of the link so this should do the trick.

Option 2: Wrap the #sidebar and #content in a #content_wrapper and then put a clear:both on the #content_wrapper. Instead of using a margin of 170px on the #content div why not float it either right or left. I used to do the same thing but I found x-browser compatibility was easier than using a spaced margin. So you could keep your #sidebar with the width of 150px and float left and make the #content a fixed width of 480px and float right. I would also move the #sidebar below the #content div in the HTML the floats will place them where you want them.

OR you can use absolute positioning on the #sidebar (position:absolute; top:0; left:0; width:150px;) and the #content (position:absolute; top:0;right:0;width:480px;) This would also allow you to move your #sidebar div below the content in the HTML template and show it where you want. Just make sure that your #content_wrapper has position:relative;.

Well that was resolved, thanks for the unpit, Jay. Created a wrapper indeed but position relative for the content ans sidewrap boxes, and all looks okay now. The dropdown was really easy using the ones in the wayfinder dir.
Now to the next problem.
