I’m trying to add Conversion Tracking to some pages, problem is these pages now fail validation, took me a while to validate the site so it really bothers me
Google help have a workaround for this here:

I understand the 1st and 3rd fixes but the 2nd one is not clear to me, here is the link:

can someone point me out what exactly they mean; or better yet post a validated Conversion Tracking code that I can compare with mine?
