Modx Manager editor problem.

I am working on Modx evolution 1.0.2. In the manager page the editor is replacing " with \" and ’ with \’. placing a backslash before the quotes.. and every time I press save on the template it places another \ so I end up with a lot of unwanter \\\\..

Did this happened with anyone before?.. is there a fix?

Thanks I read the previous post. turning off the magic quotes will do the trick. Merry Christmas
