Hi spform wouldn’t upgrade so i uninstalled it in package manager and did a force remove. I cleared the cache and tried to install it fresh from package manager but then download button doesn’t do anything, it won’t work or click or install spform so now I don’t know how to install it.

I just tried it and it worked for me. The Download button should gray-out when you click on it. You need to wait until it changes to "Downloaded" before clicking on the "Finish" button.
Maybe there was a server problem when you tried it.
It must be something in my installation that isn’t working right, it’s almost like it half-thinks it’s installed. so gives you the option to download but nothing happens. really odd... i tried it again this morning and the same thing happens...
It could be that cURL is not properly configured on your platform. It might possibly be a permissions issue with your core/packages directory.
You might also be using a non-supported browser. Check the MODX error log (under Reports). You might also try it with FireFox and see if Firebug reports any JS errors.
As a last resort, you can download the package at modx.com/extras to your core/packages directory and then in Package Manager, select "Add Package" and "Search Locally for Packages." That will put it in the grid and you can install it.
