I’m thinking about attempting to write bridges to an image gallery and a forum. Probably Gallery (
http://gallery.menalto.com/) and Phorum (www.phorum.org)
Before I do this, has anyone else done it?! And/or have any advice?
The main thing I want is single sign on across the 3 systems (modx and the others).
Just to make my life harder, I’m going to be using OpenID for the modx authentication (although that’s actually quite easy, I’ve got that bit working already using
http://gitorious.org/lightopenid it was almost trivial...)
I notice that these forums are using SMF, but I can’t find any integration packages with SMF and Modx Revo.
Why not use the existing Modx "Gallery" package? Becuase it uses the manager as a backend, and I want this for site users to create albums from the site front end.
Why not use the existing "Discuss" package? Because it says "DO NOT USE THIS ON A LIVE SITE."
