I am working on creating a simple add on that will allow a user to manage a customer list. It has a small table that it interacts with. The problem is in creating the manager page. I have use modExtra as a template, when I select the component from the menu grid area is blank. I can input text in to the files all along the way including the home.php and it shows in the correct place but the grid does not. Any help as to where to look next for troubleshooting would be great.
Could be a myriad of things:
- Did you double check for typos? Taking modExtra as a template is ok but you’re bound to make a typo...
- Did you open your Javascript console (or Firebug if you use FF) to see if there are any obvious errors there?
- Is your PHP script actually sending out the correct data?
- Is your CMP actually receiving any data (the JSON formatted data from your PHP script)? You can check this by setting breakpoints in your CMP and use the Javascript console to step through the code.
