I have an idea for a real estate site, where it would greatly improve the user experience to be able to browse the listings and ’save’ any desired properties to a list that could be viewed at any time - pretty much the way a shopping cart works.
Of course, I don’t need the functionality of a shopping cart, all that would need to be captured is the document ID and then be able to access placeholders such as pagetitle, price, etc. Does anyone have any idea of how to achieve this with any existing snippets/plugins - or is there a basic cart that I could modify (ie. remove the checkout/quantities, etc but keep the ’cart’ functionality).
I’d be very grateful for any ideas!

Carts are easy; just use the SESSION or even cookies. There are a ton of javascript cart applications as well. My original ShopX was supposed to just be a proof-of-concept using MODx resources for the "catalog" and a SESSION-based cart.
Thanks, I’ll look into that! jCart seems to be quite a nice lightweight script and looks easy to add and modify.
