How to add custom attributes to a resource?

E.g. I create a production catalogue, and it’s necessary that some pages have the attribute "price".
Are there ways to add custom fields to the resource editor form, and make them work correctly?

Yes, these are called "Template Variables". Which version of MODx are you using, Revolution or Evolution?
