i’d like to start a conversation about finding/porting/creating of a booking module for MODx.
Recently i have received a significant number of requests for an event module that allows users to register for events.
I’ve done some research into the matter and found that Wordpress, Joomla, and several other CMS all have multiple event modules with different levels of bells and whistles. Unfortunately our beloved MODx has no answer to that.
One particular module deserves a mention: Jomres for Joomla. It looks like a very mature option with many plugins.
So i’m wondering what does the core team think about this particular requirement? And if anybody else is working on something like this?
Perhaps a mashup with Google Events could serve as quick plug for this gaping hole. Or maybe a port of an existing script.
