Can MODx keep track of user submitted data? Is there a snippet or module that will keep track of what web users submit and keep it in their profiles?
By way of example, what if I wanted to build a site where users can upload pictures of their custom cars. Each user can rate and review others cars. Then, in the users profile section, they would have a list of their reviews.
Can this be done with MODx?

Certainly. Your reviews can probably be accomplished with Jot and there are plenty of ways to make a simple snippet or plugin to let web users create documents in your site as well. With Jot, you can edit, delete, or even set up an approval process for comments or reviews.
You might want to do something a little more custom for user-submitted cars, but this would be fairly easy to accomplish with a snippet. In the past I did something similar to this by letting users submit information that was turned into an un-published document in a specific folder. Managers would go through these documents and publish the ones they wanted to keep, or delete the ones they didn’t want.
Whichever way you decide to go, modx is certainly flexible enough to accomplish your goals.

The thing you should remember here is that you'll have a URL that maps back to a resource.... then on that resource you'd have to pull up the user's info somehow. In other words, there isn't a built-in way to map a URL to a *USER*. So instead, you might have the user have a resource (i.e. a page), and have the user put the content there, or that page would have to have a Snippet that looked up user date. Hope that made sense...
