O.k. I apologize for not getting this, but can someone help me get my search results looking decent?

I can style the search box, but when I do a search, everything looks awful. I don’t really want anything fancy, just results in the window that are easy to read and follow. They are a mess. I don’t want to spend a lot of time on this, but I want to at least pick up my main paragraph styles, links etc.
Is there an easy way to do this? I am not programmer. More of a designer that has figured out how to use Modx.
It seems as if there are no styles applied to this or that they are messed up somehow. I have some basic test sites installed for Modx and the results just seem to flow into place within the style of the site. Not so with this one.
I would really appreciate any help.
