    Hi still learning, so please forgive my ignorance.

    Am using evo 1.04

    Ive done a few sites just using footer as a chunk, which is fine for most users, but I really need to do this as a tv so client can editit easily in tinymce (via a tv), but want the footer to be only edited the once and change on all pages.
    NB doesnt have to be footer either could be for any element ie ad that you want on pages, but only needs to be edited by client in a tv (so rich text area)

    Ive been reading about ditto and @eval and also getChunks from wiki pages http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Create_TV-Based_Chunks which may help but am still learning so could do with a little advice.
    thanks

      You could create a new resource "footer" that your customer can modify as he wants.

      Then, let’s suppose your resource has id=14, you can call the footer in your template with Ditto:

      [[Ditto?documents=`14` &tpl=`@CODE[+content+]`]]

      And you get only the content of that resource

        I do that, but I use a Ditto chunk tpl that has the HTML comment line to provide an edit button with QuickManager. Then they can edit the footer from the front-end.
        [+content+]<!-- qm-edit [+id+] 'Edit Footer' -->

            have gone with the first suggestion for now, which works great for me. This client can use the backend system as they wont need to edit it all that often, but will try the other pone also as I think it wouold be useful in other scenarios.

            Many thanks, as Ive been scratching my head on this for a few hours.
