    Hi all, I hope this is the right forum to post this in!
    I’m currently having issues with my dropdown menu, only in Internet Explorer 7 and below. Its fine in IE8+, Firefox 3 and 4, Opera, Chrome etc, but naturally I’d like to fix the issues with IE7.

    Basically, when viewed in IE7, the dropdown menu cuts off after two entries. It looks like a CSS issue, but I can’t find the error. I’m aiming towards W3C compatibility as well, and certainly the home page is currently valid.

    I’m running Evolution 1.0.5, and the code is pretty much the default template that comes with MODX tinkered around with somewhat!

    The site is: http://www.otherworldnortheast.org.uk

    If anyone could pass on any suggestions, that would be great. Thanks!

      It looks like you just need to define a z-index on the sub level to bring it to the front.

        Hi there, thanks for the reply grin

        How do I go about adding the z index?

          In your CSS you would need to add something like:

          ul ul {position: relative; z-index: 10;} (Example, this isn’t likely the code you need).

            There’s two ways to fix this either get rid of your title attributes for you navigation or control their display margins with css.

            So something along these lines will solve your problem.

            // for a element titles
            a[title] { font:bla; background:(url to image with round corners); color:bla;  padding: enough to bring the background out; }
            // for all element titles
            *[title] { font:bla; background:(url to image with round corners); color:bla; padding: enough to bring the background out; }

            Hope that helps.

              You should also give the parent element some z-index. I can’t remember if IE7 is still affected by the z-index bug which assumes that if element has no z-index it’s value is zero (0). In such a case #subheader should have z-index:10 (for example) and possibly position:relative and #lcolumn should have z-index:5 and possibly position:relative. At this hour I can’t remember if this is the case.

              Unless you got the menu working which proves that IE7 is not affected by the z-index bug and I remember wrong.

                  To get rid of titles i always do this:

                  Wayfindercall add:
                  &rowTpl=`RowTpl` &innerRowTpl=`InnerRowTpl`

                  Make 2 chunks:

                  InnerRowTpl:
                  <li[+wf.classes+]><a href="[+wf.link+]">[+wf.linktext+]</a>[+wf.wrapper+]</li>

                  RowTpl:
                  <li class="[+wf.classnames+]"><a href="[+wf.link+]">[+wf.linktext+]</a>[+wf.wrapper+]</li>

                  For Revolution the same only different calls like: [[+wf.wrapper]]
