DJ Template

Hi all,

i’m new to this and I like what this site offers but what I need to know is, is there a DJ Template out there that I could use at all FREE would be good. I run a DJ site www.randa-discos.co.uk and I would like to move our site to this plat form.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam.

I don’t know of any existing free DJ Templates, but it’s easy enough to create your own templates. There is no reason why you couldn’t use your existing website design with MODx.

Hi,

thanks for your reply, how would I go about using my current site template and putting it into MODx then?

Do a "view source" in your browser and copy the HTML. Put that in a New Template form in the Manager. Put the images and css and any other files linked to in the HTML file’s head together in a folder (usually this folder will be named the same as the name of the template) and make sure the links in the template head are accurate.

Now when you assign that template to a resource and open that resource (page) in your browser, you will see exactly the same thing as your original HTML file. Now it’s time to go through the template and replace portions of it with MODx tags, such as [*content*] (or [[*content]] for Revo), a Wayfinder snippet to replace your menu structure, etc.

This was written for Evo, but templates work the same in Revo (except for the difference in the tag syntax)

Thanks for the quick reply, looks like there is quite a bit of work involved then moving my site across to modx? are there any free club templates out there that maybe I could use?
