New template and chmod problem

Hello there,
I have a problem which i can’t handle. I am using modx rev (newest version). On setup i chose 0777/0666 to new folders/files. Now i am trying to add new template. So i’ve created it at resources at manager. Now i am trying to add css and image files to folder

but my templates folder is 0755 and i can’t create any folder inside. When i am trying to set permission to this folder from manager - the loader is loading all the time. When i am trying to change permissions to this folder from Total Commander it gives me: "Operation not permitted" so i can’t change it. Did i do smthng wrong? Is there any solution to change the permissions to 0777 to templates folder?

i’ve found out that i can upload files from manager to my my_template folder
but IMHO working with Total Commander FTP is more useful than working on folders with modx.
AFAIK i couldn’t change folder chmod because the process is owner of this folder, but there is still question if i can change permissions so i can work with files with my Total Commander?
