I am trying to edit a template I created -- but the ’Save’ button is greyed out!

    Why??

It would be very helpful if we knew which version of MODx you were using. As well as any other relevant information, such as which browser.

I sometimes get the same problem, looks like modx doesn’t always detect the changes one makes. To activate the Save button, I simply make a modification in the name or description field (for example if my template is named "HomeTpl" I delete the last character and retype it -> HomeTpl -> HomeTpl). Then the Save button is enabled.

Thanks -- I had to do what GoustiFruit mentions.

Yep - I have the same problems. I’ve also found that editing what you want, then clicking into a different field enables the save button.

              Did you copy and paste?

Add an extra space after the stuff you pasted, this registered an input into the boxes and then allows you to save.
