I am using a template variable with dropdown list that is bound to a document through @DOCUMENT showing a list of venues. There is no default value set. This tv is used by the client of a festival site to select the venue of a particular performance. I am told however that in some random instances, the venue sets itself to the first entry from the drop-down list even though the resource was saved with a different venue initially (and my understanding is that this does not necessarily happen immediately but at a random later stage). As I am told this by the client who then went to fix it by changing these resources back to the correct venue, I cannot replicate the issue and did not see it happen myself. However, has anyone here come across a similar problem and found out what’s going on?

Thanks for your help and suggestions!

That’s a tough one. It could always be "pilot error" but I have seen some quirks in TVs so I wouldn’t rule out the possibility.

As a diagnostic and preventative measure, you might add "No Venue Set" as the first option and make the client swear to never select it. If it does get reset to that, you’ll know something’s wrong and it will be better than having it set to the wrong venue.
