Ajax Search in my template

Hi,
I am a real newbie to Modx Evolution. I have started creating my template and have my Ajax Search running. But on my results page I want to show the results with thumbnail image. I can’t seem to find any coding help on the web, is it a capability of AjaxSearch (by the way I am using version 1.9.0)

I have seen the Ajax API Google search, but being new to html and php coding I am unsure if it is compatible with my Modx??

Any help appreciated
Cheers
