I had try to play around with MODX and also read some text tutorial along some video. Previously I had been working with joomla.

I would like to know if we can have sections in the content, like in joomla template we can set a section content and put the order of display either left, center or right as well as setting which comes first.

As of what I had read and see, all content will come in one.

Please enlighten me, if it is possible to have sections in the content, kindly assist.

    Thank you

That’s where an understanding of Template Variables is necessary. The [*content*] variable is just one option. TVs can be used as content blocks, and the generic "resource content" field used as the main block or ignored as desired.

Chunks are useful for blocks of content that all pages will have in common, while TVs are variable on a per-page basis.

Thank you for the answer, I agree that MODX is different compared to JOOMLA, but could you guide me where could I refer to in building up a new template, which comprises three columns, where so called the TV or chunks are put up in action. I like to learn from a samples.
