I have a template variable on the homepage where the editor can change bicycle rides that their shop is hosting.
I made the TV rich text, but when the content is updated and saved it shows the css tags and not the actual visual style.

What is causing this? Anyone have any solutions to get the richtext editor to work in this case?

here is the link to the page http://tccyclist.com/

The area of the homepage that is effected is the Shop Rides section in the middle/bottom.

    Thanks!

      Hi,
I have a guess... I think someone’s pasting stuff from somewhere else instead of typing it, so you’re getting HTML pasted into the Rich text box instead of plain text. 9 times out of 10 when I see a problem like this, it’s user error - nobody likes to type, everyone likes to copy/paste.

The worst case I’ve seen was when someone pasted from Word into Wordpress (which also uses Tiny editor), and the proprietary Microsoft code caused most of the page to disappear entirely, throwing the guy into a panic.

Sometimes the editor’s "Paste from Word" button will strip off crap, whether from Word, other web pages, and so on. Short of that, plain text is the only reliable thing you can paste into the Rich Text editor.

      Good luck,
      Dave

Thanks for the reply, I actually thought of that because first the copy was copied and pasted from an email, so I deleted the copy and keystroked it in. Still came up with the css tags ie <p>Lorem ipsum dolor...</p>.

I just took the rich text option down for now and just coded the information in an html box.
