In the database

Where in the database?`
I want to make a backup

In the Manager use Tools => Backup and either backup the while database or the tables you want.
The modx_site_content table holds the basic page data but other tables hold related content like Template Variables, Templates etc.

What if I have to use the backup (if I got a hacker visit) what do I do then.

So I have to upload my backup to: Phpmyadmin. Then update my config.inc.php to what? :S

I would strongly recommend installing this (or one of its brethren) http://modxcms.com/extras/package/46

I put it on all of my sites, and only had it have a problem with one site with several megabytes of Flash movies. I used that site’s CPanel file manager to zip up the whole website, and the MODx Manager’s backup utility to back up the database.
