SMF 1.1.11 modxhost Evo Template

What steps has anyone done to style the SMF messageboard to look the same or close to the modxhost template used in the Evo templates?
I don’t want to combine the two, but keep seperate for upgrades and modifications.
Will be installing SMF on test server where the websitehttp://desertmessenger.myphotos.cc/modx/ is located.

To match the SMF styles to your main website, you’d just tweak the CSS and template files. It’s time consuming but works. It’s how we handle it here at http://modxcms.com/
