Hiya all,
I’m new to modx after being told about it after contacting a site owner who’s site i liked and i asked if he had a template that I could use to design mine round. The site in question is at this url:
http://www.inspired-solutions.net/
He said that I am welcome to take a look at the source code and get mine in the same style. He also uses modx for this site.
I understand how to install a template but what I cannot work out is how I place areas on the site for different content. I need a serch box that works, a downloads area and the obvious about us and services pages. I also want a pricing page.
I also have an online store so i’d loive to be able to add a shopping cart within my modx site aswell as a support forum.
Is there anyone who can give me a helping hand to get started and i’m sure i’ll be okay with the rest once i’m up and running. I’d love to be able to pay someone but as this is a new venture there isn’t any spare cash but I could stretch to ordering some PC components as payment from my suppliers, I also have dedicated uk servers so could offer a reseller account that you could ude for testing and customers sites.
Oh and is there a way of using the header when adding it to skin say WHMCS or my shoipping cart which is based upon Cube Cart 3.
Here is a url to what i was playing with today even though it’s just on a spare URL

PM me for the manage log in and for ftp details.
Kindest Regards
Jay
