Managing order of TVs in Edit Document Page

Hi,

I am looking to organise the TV options in the edit document page within manager. Currently they are organised in ’sort order’, however, I have quite a few TVs within my templates, and would like to possibly oranise them by category.

Does anybody have a solution that would enable me to do this?

If you’re using MODx Evolution 1.0.0 or later, there’s now an "Edit the TV sort order" option when you open templates for editing, so you can set the TV listing order per template with a drag and drop operation. Go to Elements > Manage Elements > Templates and select the template; then select the Assigned Template Variables tab, and you’ll find the "Edit the TV sort order" link above the list of TVs assigned to that template. Drag, drop and Save, and there you are!

I am using ModX 0.9.6.3, but I have managed to find the Assigned Template Variables tab. This is what I am looking for, but ideally I would like to break down the template variables into their assigned catergories.
