Display TV values from another doc id?

Hello dear community.

I am looking for an easy fix for my problem, but I cant find it anywhere in the forum nor documentation.

I have a template with 2 template variables, which needs to be shown in another template as well.
Is there any way to show the TV values from template 1 in template 2 without typing it all 2 times?

I hope I have made myself understandable, and that someone can crack this nut of mine.

You could try the getField snippet

I am also looking for a similar solution any ideas? Or is there a better way to structure my template/data.

Try this snippet ( replace tv-name with your TV’s name):

$tv = $modx->getTemplateVarOutput(true, $modx->documentIdentifier);
$field = $tv['tv-name'];
if(!empty($field)){
$output = '<h1>'.$field.'</h1>';
}
else{
$output = '';
}
return $output;
?>

agreed, the getField snippet should do the trick, it’s exactly what you need.
