Modifying Admin Template

I was wondering how I would remove (or hide) the two tabs named ModxNews and Security Notices from the admin template? Ideally I would like to keep them for myself the admin but remove (or hide) from the view of the manager users I’ve set up. Is this possible? Also how would you change the text for the titles like "welcome to" etc.?

I’ve looked in the manager/media/style folder but only see image files to modify. What files control the functions of the home page in manager?

hi nootkan,

maybe this helps: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Customizing_the_Manager_Homepage

Thanks again Sharkbait, I had commented out the appropriate tables in the welcome.html files and forgot to come back here to say I had fixed my problem. I see the link you provided is a better way perhaps and I’ll look it over. Funny I didn’t see it when I browsed the wiki originally.
