Ajaxmenus are stuck open in IE

I’m finishing up a website here:

http://robertawebb.chrismageemusic.com

The Ajaxmenu works fine in Firefox and Safari, but in IE (checked v8 and 6) the menus are stuck open. I’ve never seen this before -- can anyone help?

I would start by fixing the validation errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://robertawebb.chrismageemusic.com/&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0

That should get you going in the right direction.

If you don’t specify a doctype, IE 6 goes into "quirks" mode, which will have some unexpected results (not that its behavior is all that much better with a doctype...).

Thanks to both of you! I don’t know why I forgot the doctype -- I think that was the problem, but I did clean up the validation problems too. Now everything is working great!

Validating your work is usually a very quick method to eliminate problems as it catches mistakes such as missing doctypes, extra </div> or missing </div> tags, etc. It’s always a good idea to check these things when your having problems or even before. It’s easy with Firefox and Safari! Get these addons:
