Hello fellow enthusiasts,
I hope my Q does not create too much of an anger and distruction around here.
I successfully installed latest and greatest MODx version and just about to get dirty with customization.
One simple (I hope) thing to do is repositioning main(horizontal) menu items. I was searching and may be not deep enough.
Is there a file, xml, js or html that describes specific order of menu tabs?
For UI semantics I’d prefer to rename and move, say "Blog" farther down to the right.
Any clear answers around here? Or links to some older posts?
Thanks everyone.
Kolyan
Thank you,
I’ll continue with ur suggestion.
Another thing I face-up doday is a favicon for my site. I found "Favico" plug-in but I was also thinking if I coud include the favicon into index.html. My understanding is that index.html is still played role of a canvas-kinda to place all the php-driven layout into it. Am I right?
Thank you all.
If I’m understanding you -- the answer is no. In MODx, index.php is mainly a dispatcher that delivers the requested web page. It generally shouldn’t be edited at all in MODx.
In MODx, what serves as the "canvas" for each page is the Template.
See the site in my sig for more of an overview of how MODx works.

Indeed. The link to the favicon would be in your template. Or a chunk if you want to use the same one for multiple templates. Or a TV if you want to have different ones for different documents; although in this case you would still have the link tags in your template, just replace the filename with the TV tags.
