Lets say I design my site in pure HTML is there anything specific I need to prepare the HTML files so that when i use the import html feature in ModX it would work.

Import from HTML is probably not the best way to manage a site in MODx. You should create templates and manage the content using the Content field and TVs.

Indeed. I’ve actually only used the Import feature once, when somebody had an existing site they had made using Word
It wasn’t a lot of fun.
