I have a two column site with a small side bar on the left and the main content area on the right. There are several pages. Home, About Us, Links, Contact, etc.

I decided to make a TV called "SideBarContent", to fill in the sidebar part and use Quickedit [*#SidebarContent*] to easily change its text, images, etc.

The thing is, although I want the main content to be different on each page, I wish the content on the sidebar to be the same across all pages as I click through the menu items. Is there any way I can do this with TVs? Right now, I need to edit each page one by one, even though they are from the same template. Or... is there a better solution? I need it to be a QuickEdit enabled. It is for a client who is too intimidated to use the Manager backed. Usually I create a sidebar chunk and get them to edit the content on the Manager, but this isn’t acceptable to this client.

    Thanks in advance!

Use the @INHERIT binding as the default value of the TV.

Not 100% sure how this will work with the RTE though.

You might be better off using a TV with @DOCUMENT for your sidebar. Then you can use a MemberCheck snippet to display a menu item "Edit Sidebar" linking to that document when your user is logged in; he can just edit that page to automatically update the sidebar.
