Just started using Modx and have two questions in relation to this beta site: http://www.adventureballoonsports.com/modx/ (content still needs tightening up a bit)

    1. When first creating html in Dreamweaver and pasting this code into a new template in Modx, is there a certain setting which would enable automatic image source path migration as to avoid having to change all non CSS image paths by hand to "assets/images/..." ?? For example the logo image at the top and the smaller balloon images all had to be corrected with new source directories - from "images/..." to "assets/images/..." .

    2. On the same site (http://www.adventureballoonsports.com/modx/) when browsing to a new page, both the logo image and the cloud image in the background seem to completely reload thus significantly increasing load time - is this normal behavior in Modx?? Any way to globally cache images ?? - Static sites usually cache images in browsers without needing to reload as new pages are displayed ...

    Thanks for your help!

You can put your images anywhere you like. Just keep in mind that css background images referred to in your .css file are relative to that .css file, while images linked directly from the web page are relative to the main index.php file. I find when adapting such templates it is useful to open the .html file in a text editor and use search/replace. I use Firefox with its "It’s All Text" plug-in, which makes life much easier.

MODx has nothing to do with your browser cache. It makes no difference to your browser whether the page is a flat HTML file or generated as MODx pages are.
