TV associations for duplicate templates

Hi everyone!

I am a graphic/web designer new to the world of ModX and CMS in general. I am creating a website that just keeps growing for a client, and I’m finding myself in quite the conundrum.

Basically, I want to duplicate a template, alter it just slightly, and be able to keep all the template variable associations from the original. I know that I can go in and manually alter the TVs to associate with the new template, but some of these pages have way too many variables for me to be able to do it quickly and efficiently.

Is there any way I can do this?

Depending on what you are trying to alter you may be able to use PHx (see wiki.modxcms.com / modx extras) to accomplish those changes without creating another template.

I know I am just starting with PHx and was able to eliminate three templates so it might also be able to help you.
