    Hi...

Just installed 1.0 version available from "Go Daddy’s" available applications. I’m working my way through "The Coding Pad’s" tutorial and need to be able to select the new template that I created. I’m able to SEE the new template name in the "Uses Template" drop down box -- but I’m not able to actually ’select’ it. huh?

Help. What am I missing ?

    Thanks...
    Jann

Can you explain more what you mean by "not able to select it"? Can you actually select it, and the page refreshes showing the new template, but then the document still uses its old template?

If that is the case, it is because you still need to "Save" the document after that page refresh. When selecting a new template, the Manager has to refresh the document’s editing page to deal with any TVs that may have belonged to the old template but not the new one, or to add any TVs that the new template has. But at that point the document is still not saved to the database! You have to click the "Save" button to save the new status to the database.

RE: Can you explain more what you mean by "not able to select it"?

No... I’m NOT able to select it.

Initially when the ’Edit Resource’ page loads, the ’Uses Template’ has the ’Minimal Template’ option displayed. When I click the down arrow to view the templates that are listed in the drop-down box I run the cursor over the new template that I created...but the system will NOT allow me to ’highlight’ and ’select’ it. ?? Only the "Minimal Template" is highlighted.

I was able to get around changing the template selection by going to the ’tools/configuration’ page and changing the default template selection there just to get through this tutorial...which really isn’t the ideal procedure.

Thanks for your help / insight..

From this image, what you are looking at is categories, the actual templates aren’t being displayed. The "Minimal Template" isn’t in a category, so it’s shown as being in the "uncategorized" category.

As to why your template isn’t being displayed, but categories are, I have no ideas.

Hmmmnn...yes...I see the distinction. I know that the new templates did get created because I’m able to ’select’ from the ’tools/configuration’ page. ?? Weird...

Thanks for your help though...if I figure something out...I’ll update.
