    Hey,

My document structure looks like this:

    Menu:
    - Section1 (template 1)
    - Doc1
    - Doc2
    - LINK to Doc7
    - LINK to Doc8

    - Section2 (template 2)
    - Doc3
    - Doc4
    - LINK to Doc7
    - LINK to Doc8

    - Section3 (template 3)
    - Doc5
    - Doc6
    - LINK to Doc7
    - LINK to Doc8

    - Section4 (Not shown in the menu / Not having own native template)
    - Doc7
    - Doc8

My problem is: how to call Doc7 & Doc8 from the Section 1 or 2 or 3 using template from that section (I want to have content from docs7 & 8 styled by three different templates depending on the sections template from the document is called).
I can not simply copy content from document 7 & 8 into new documents in each section (duplicate content issue).

    thanks for your help
    :)

    greets
    Demagy

You should call the content of doc7 & doc8 in other documents that have different template.
You can do it with Ditto, getField, Wayfinder and other snippets AND i think you can using @DOCUMENT binding.

The problem of using snippets is that MODx does not translate some MODx-tags such as snippets in new content, so i hope @DOCUMENT do it.

Another way: create a plugin to replace the "content" of current page with "content" of reference page before translating MODx-tags.

Another way again: Template Switcher Plugin is what you need BUT it had critical problems! read ALL posts of it’s topic first!
        God loves me. 【ツ】
