    Hello,
I’m new to modx and am experimenting to find what is possible. I downloaded the Yoghourt template and decided to try changing things a bit to learn how things worked.
The install went welland I was able to access the site with the new template as default.

To see what would happen I removed some code from the sidebar and replaced it further down - just to see if I could easily change the position of objects.
I cleared the cache, both in modx and the browser and reloaded - exactly the same page showed up - no change. Tried a few things and nothing worked. Removed the file Yoghurt.template.html completely and expected the request for the page to fail - it didn’t - popped up in its original form.

I have cleared the caches on both modx and the browser completely and repeatedly, but it persists. Chaging the default template back to the original works, but as soon as I revert to Yoghurt, the original page shows without my changes.

Perhaps it is stored somewhere in modx that I can’t find? Perhaps I am changing the wrong file? I am not running a proxy. My testing server is standard ubuntu server with Apache2. I don’t have this problem with any other testing sites.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

The templates are stored on the database. In the Manager, go to Resources > Manage Resources then select the Templates tab. The Yogurt template should be listed.

          Thanks rthrash,
Yes - it does appear to be - there is a file layout.css which gives position details. So I would need to alter that as well. But where does it get the details of the menu code menu when the code has been removed?

            Thanks dev-cw.
Yes - I can find it OK in the Manager, but I am trying to alter the code.

Are you just editing the .html file? What dev_cw is saying is that you need to CHANGE it in the manager. Copy the contents of the file you’ve changed, and paste it into the template in Resources > Manage Resources > Templates > Yogurt
