Dynamically adding TVs to a Template

I wonder if it could be done with TV-based chunks (with each chunk containing an image) -- or an altered version that listed image files in a directory for the TV. That would give you a series of checkboxes in your TV, one for each image, and you could iterate over the checked ones.

I’ve been developing a site using modx for about a week and bumped into this problem myself. Here’s my solution:

0. create a template call it ’image-holder’ or something. the content of the template doesn’t matter too much here.
1. create an ’image’ type templatevariable. call it "Image" or whatever. add it to image-holder template.
2. create a parent ’resource’ which will be the container, name it ’images’.
3. add any number of resources under the parent resource using the ’image-holder’ template.
4. create a chunk call it ’include-image-tv’.
example: [+image+]

5. use ditto in the template where you want to include the images
for including the images using the id of the parent resource and the chunk you created.
example: [[Ditto?parents=`**images**`&tpl=`**include-image-tv**`&orderBy=`menuindex ASC`]]
