Is it possible to create a template that has two editable areas without using snippets or chuncks? For instance, could I have [*#content*] in the left column and [*#content2] in the right column, so when I click on a page to edit I would have two editable areas show up instead of just one.

well? Looks like I answered my own question using a ’template variable’.
