Hi and Happy New Year 2009,

Less code, more money and happy moments for everybody smiley

I was curios which will be the best way to organize my website structure, because I have similar categories when I’m on one page and the same are different other time. What I mean:

Imagine you have a directory in which you have options for different type of shops and you have option to chose the same categories but only from specific town.

For example we have main categories:

    Shop type 1
    - shop sub-type 1.1
    - shop sub-type 1.2
    - etc.
    Shop type 2
    - shop sub-type 2.1
    - shop sub-type 2.2
    - etc.
    Shop type 3
    - shop sub-type 3.1
    - shop sub-type 3.2
    - etc.

and we have all this type of shops in New York, LA and Washington etc...

When I’ll click through all this types of shops I’ll will show all of shops for the three towns, but when somebody will click on New York hi/she will see only for the selected town.

Please tell me which will be the best method for structure and what I could use for creating the best optimized website.

If something is unclear, please let me know smiley

I would separate the shops by State (e.g. Shop Type 1 = New York, Shop Type 2 = LA, etc.) and put the info for each shop under each State folder (sub-types = Canal Street, Broadway, etc.). Use Ditto to display all of them on the main listing page (you can use multiple Ditto calls to separate them by location), then when someone chooses just "New York" - use Ditto again on that page to only display the children of New York (only shops within the NY area)
