Default document settings

Is it possible to have default document settings for a particular template? E.g. myTemplate would have default parent of myDefaultParent etc.

I think you can do this with the ManagerManager plug-in.

I used Metaller’s version of managermanager http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=16948.80 to set a default parent. Do you know if it’s possible to set a default template for a particular role? I have tried adding the following code but it doesn’t work:

		
			case 'template':
				$new_value = ($new_value=='') ? 0 : $new_value;
				$output .= '$("input[@name=template]").attr("value", "'.(int)$new_value.'"); '."\n";
			break;
