I am having problems creating folders through the file manager. I can create a folder, it has a its permissions are 777 owned by apache.

When I go to upload a file to the new folder I get the following error:

Failed to copy file to destination directory - upload failed! Possible permission problems - the directory you want to upload to needs to be set to 0777 permissions.

The problem is that the permissions of the folder is 777. If I create the folder through ftp and cmod the permissions to 777 I can upload files through the modx file manager without a problem.

This doesn’t make any sense, does anyone have any suggestions to get this working?

    Thanks
    Brian

That sounds like a safe-mode problem of PHP...

I just checked and safe_mode is on. Is there anyway to solve this without turning off safe_mode?
