    Hi team,

I’m busy creating and testing a new template. When I create a new page and change to this template, the manager hangs. There could be errors in the template but I cant seem to find any. If I choose the default modxcms template it saves without a problem. If I try changing to my template, after warning about changing templates, it hangs on that screen. I’ve tried IE and firefox and have the same problem.

    Any recommendations would be great!

Perhaps we could see the code for your template?

           <p></p
          <p<p>[[Ditto? &startID=`51` &summarize=`5` &total=`20` &commentschunk=`Comments` &tpl=`nl_sidebar` &showarch=`0` &truncLen=`100` &truncSplit=`0`]]</p>

You might want to start by cleaning up this... notice the extraneous unclosed p tags?

Then make the template without the Ditto call and see how it looks (just put a bit of text there, like "Ditto call will go here" to mark the spot).

            Hi,

I tried cleaning the code up which didnt help much. What I tried is to change the template to the default modxwidecc template and this was also causing the system to hang which led me to believe that it might be something to do with the installation. I removed modx and re-installed. This time making the cache folder to 777 as it says in the doc and then I tried previewing any page by changing the template to widecss. It still hangs! My host looked through the logs on the site and found nothing. The error log in modx shows nothing either.

            Please help.
