Baby steps to make design

MODx doesn’t use an index.html at all; it uses index.php, and everything is generated from that. The index.html file that comes with Andreas 08 needs to be opened in a text editor, and the content pasted into a new template in the Manager (Resources -> Manage Resources, and the Templates tab).

You either need to get rid of the index.html pages altogether, or configure your web server to use index.php as its primary index page.

Susan, Thanks. As soon as get done putting out a fire I’ll get to it. You’re too kind. I’m still really anxious that I may fail to get my site working by the end of the weekend though, based on my historically lousy techie hackery "skills."
