I’ve been using modx 0.97 till now, I am trying the new Modx revolution and wondering if I can use
templates that was originaly made for 0.97 ver.
Also, I would like to create new templates for the new modx 2 ver, can i use the same variables that was used in modx 0.97?

so, should I use

?
The left column represents the Evolution (096) calls, and the right column are the new Revolution calls, so if you are using Revolution Alpha use [[$chunk]]
On a side note, I found that the following snippet works quite well to include files into Revolution:

include $file;
