    Hello.

I have a problem I can’t solve looking at the existing architecure and docs of the MODx.
When creating a new content, a content editor (user) has to choose which template to use for the child entry he’s creating.
(these templates can contain different chunks and snippet calls).

Afterwards, all these different children have to be parsed in a single form in the frontend. How can I parse their content in the templates they are assigned with and then parse the result in some other document?

In other words - at this moment it seems MODx can parse the content in its template using the executeParser() method only if the document is called directly (is the active one) . However, I would kind of need to get several return values from the executeParser() of other documents before parsing the main.

Oh, I hope I managed to explain my pain. undecided

    Thank you in advance!

      Yes I did.

As I understand Ditto can apply some template to all content’s children, right?

I have the case when I need to apply different template for each child, basing on some parameter of the child.

      Did I miss something?

Ok, I managed to make Ditto do what I want.
Not as nice as it would be if templates are used but still - it works.

        Thank you!
