in the ’before-MODx’-era-thinking, we fixed layouts (headers and sidebars) with framesets and target(-ted) the content inside a frame so it would scroll while header and sidebars remained in place.

I somehow now cannot make the switch in thinking on how to realise this in a typical MODx template.

example: the pirateMachine, the middle part is scrolling while header and footer stay fixed on screen.

can somebody lead me into a direction to realise this?
    thanks in advance

like most everything in MODx.. my life has become so much simpler since finding it..

a simple one line (div & height & o’flow)- statement did the entire job.

in my site-designs this is a fundamental, nothing now withholds me any more from going full blast ahead changing all sites I run to MODx !

thanks again for pointing this out, Susan !
